This is a Themed Juried Show.
Endangered refers to something or someone that is at risk of harm, loss, failure, or social deprivation, and is in danger of becoming extinct. The theme may be applied in many ways, it could suggest a focus on species, the planet, climate, mental health, social status, etc.
Entry Fee: $5 per entry. Max four entries per artist.
Deadline: Application closes on June 15, 2023, at 11pm.
About the Juror: Our Juror, Cat Sheridan will select up to 50 2D pieces and 10 3D pieces. This exhibit could accommodates a few installations hanging from the ceiling. The selection of works will be based on quality, creativity, and how much the work fits the theme.
Cat Sheridan is the Ohio Arts Council’s Riffe Gallery Director, a gallery celebrating and showcasing the myriad professional artists that reside and work in the state of Ohio. Sheridan hails from the east side of Columbus, Ohio, and graduated with honors from Columbus College of Art & Design; Bachelor of Fine Arts, Minor in Art History. An ardent advocate of the arts, arts education and creative community building Sheridan focuses her time and energy on expanding the power of the arts; as an arts administrator during the day and an arts mentor, and practicing artist, at night.
Rules: Current members may enter 2D and/or 3D artworks. All paintings & photos must be wired for hanging. “sawtooth” hangers are not accepted. If art is not framed, edges must be finished. Paintings must be dry to the touch. No nudes, violence, or controversial subjects.
All artwork must be original work of the member and it’s OK if it was previously exhibited in a DAAL show. Work must have been completed within the last 5 years. Not For Sale works acceptable.
Work must be available to remain in the exhibit for the whole time.
Sales: All transactions are processed by the City of Upper Arlington.
Commissions: A 10% commission will be retained by the City of Upper Arlington on all sales.
Drop Off: Notifications of acceptance will be sent out by June 25. Accepted piece(s) should be dropped off on Monday, July 10, from 9am-5pm at the Upper Arlington Municipal Building, 3600 Tremont Rd.

Artwork pick up dates: September 18-20, 2023
Monday, Tuesday – pickup in gallery. Wednesday – pickup in Parks&Rec Office.

Make sure you pay your entry fee, to validate your submission.
Entry fees are $5 per entry. Each member can enter up to four entries.
Entry fees will be used to pay the juror. If we raise extra money we will have cash awards.
