Full Bio: An award-winning artist, Gale Suver was born in Central Ohio, where she lives and works today. Art, whether it was painting with watercolors, acrylics, or oils, drawing with pencil, charcoal or pen have all been a part of her artistic experience since she discovered a love for it at 6 or7 years old, when her 2nd grade teacher brought attention to her talent. This talent was nurtured and encouraged early on by the artistic connection she shared with her father and made even more strides as she learned more and more during her high school years.
Married, raising 4 daughters and juggling a career in health care all competed with Gale’s time to create art but art always served as her sanctuary to relax, catch her breath and reset her busy life.
Then a little over 8 years ago the planets aligned and she was able to retire, reengage her art fulltime and dive enthusiastically into art workshops, classes with artists she admires and to allow major influencers like Cezanne, Van Gogh, Monet, and Anselm Kiefer to help define her style.

Her work today, almost exclusively in oils and utilizing palette knives gives a unique texture, movement and flow to her work that has been described as “coming alive on the canvas”. “pulling you in and making you feel a part of it”, “sheer joy”, ”dramatic texture” and “her work heightens all your senses”
Gale’s subjects and focus are varied and can be inspired by a memory, unique architecture, a particular landscape, a vehicle or piece of equipment long ago forgotten or the sheer beauty of nature staring back at you.

Gale’s success exhibiting at The Ohio State Fair, The Bryn Du Annual Art Exhibit, The Columbus Cultural Arts Center, DAAL Shows, Operation Monarch, “Hit the Hop”, Studio On High, through The Dublin Art League, The Ohio Art League, The Ohio Plein Air Society, The Marion Popcorn Festival and the Annual Art for Recovery Event have led to much recognition and opened the door for many commissioned pieces that she has created now residing with private collectors.
Gale thanks you for taking the time to gaze into the journey that has brought so much passion and joy to her life!
