Short Bio: Born in NYC, moved to Ohio 20 years ago. Focused on Plein Air, portraits, pets, interiors, landscapes, imaginative and abstract work, murals and chickens.
Full Bio: I have spent many years painting from life plein air and in the studio traditional subject matter. I studied and taught in New York City at the Art Students League. Currently exploring using my imagination and playing with abstraction meets representation. Speaking of which I could use some representation if you know anybody… Anyhoo, I find that work that has more elements of play help the viewer interact and engage with the work. I enjoy sparking dynamic dialogue. Its more interesting to hear others interpret rather than dictate meaning or otherwise translate. It can also be a special pleasure to simply aim to create a facsimile of sublime beauty. It’s all good. “ Sew Red Circle” pictured below can be seen at the Riffe Gallery in October ‘23.
