Full Bio: Edgar Degas states “ Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” I have always loved this quote because the subject, the medium, and the color an artist uses is his way of communicating and sharing his vision with others. He creates a new reality and hopes it connects with you. As a viewer, I hope the subjects I choose to paint connect with you in some way. I do commissions from favorite photos.
Sidney Finneran graduated from Marshall University and taught art 24 years in both Columbus and Dublin schools. She has been a member of DAAL for 5 years and served as secretary and chair of the scholarship committee. She is a docent at the Columbus Museum of Art.
