Judge: Vivian Ripley, an accomplished artist of quite varied subject matter, and inherent in all her works is the beauty of color and how it is affected by light and shade. She works in pastel, watercolor, acrylic, and colored pencil (sometimes combining media), always striving to achieve beauty in each medium through her emotional use of color and tone.
ELIGIBILITY
The 2025 Juried Irish Art Show is open to everyone 16 or older. All entries must be original 2D works depicting people, places, or things related to Dublin, Ohio, or Ireland.
The work must have been completed in the past five years and not have been exhibited in any of the previous Dublin Irish shows.

MEDIA
Open to any traditional and non-traditional 2D media.
Designated Art League members will choose the accepted works, and a paid judge will determine the awards.
Each piece must be no larger than 26” W x 20”H framed, allowing up to 30 pieces to be exhibited.
Submissions must be the artist’s original work, properly wired for hanging (“saw tooth” hangers will not be accepted). Unframed canvas paintings must have the edges finished. Paintings must be dry to the touch. * Please note- works previously entered in DAAL Spring or Fall shows at the DCRC cannot be accepted, but paintings from the Dublin Area Art League-sponsored Paint Out can be.
ENTRY FEE
Entry Fee: $20.00 for non-members, $15.00 for DAAL members. The fee covers up to three works.
Fees are non-refundable. Once you submit, you’ll be taken to the payment page.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES
Sunday, June 29th 2025. You’ll be notified by noon on July 6th regarding which piece(s) will be shown.
AWARDS
Best of Show $125, First Place $100, Second Place $75, Third Place $50; Honorable Mention Ribbon, and People’s Choice Ribbon. The public will have the opportunity to vote for People’s Choice until August 16th.
Art will be exhibited at the Dublin Community Rec Center.
SUBMISSION OF IMAGES
The 2025 Juried Irish Art Show accepts only digital images, sent by email to DublinArtLeague(at)gmail.com and to marthasnee56(at)gmail.com
FILE NAMING:
All entry files (regardless of type or media) must be named with artwork title followed by the entry number (i.e. Title_1.jpg) Image Size: about 1000 pixels on the longest side. To change the size of your images you can use the following programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Preview using Apple.
There are others as well.
REQUIRED ARTIST STATEMENT
Please submit a short statement (between 25 and 50 words) with each entry explaining how the art relates to Dublin, Ohio, or Ireland. If it was done at a plein air paint out, while at a favorite place or event in Dublin, etc., please tell us. This will be printed on the labels, so please check the spelling and edit accordingly.

Please include the Title, dimensions (including frame), medium, price, contact info (for buyers), and artist’s statement.
Please do NOT submit links to jpeg files (Google Docs or otherwise). Please attach images directly to email. Your submission will not be complete until the entry fee is received.
ONCE WORK IS SELECTED
All work accepted for the exhibition must arrive ready to install. Works not gallery-ready or exhibiting poor craftsmanship may be omitted from the exhibit. Accepted work that differs significantly from the entry images or suffers from poor presentation will be disqualified.
All selected work must arrive at the Dublin Community Rec Center on Saturday, July 276h, 9:30 – 10:30 am. Accepted work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition. Please contact show chairs Martha Snee at marthasnee56@gmail.com or Carolyn Prince carolyn481@att.net if you
need to arrange other times or dates.
The art will be hung at the Dublin Community Recreation Center (DCRC) until August 23rd. Pick up of work is from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
Important: Accepted work will remain on display for the duration of the exhibition, unless arrangements have been made with the show chair. Non-compliance will result in forfeiting acceptance for the next year’s show.
SALES OF ARTWORK
All negotiations and transactions are between the artist and the buyer. DAAL will not handle payments or retain any commissions. Tags must include the artist’s contact information. Sold artwork should stay in the exhibit until the last day of the show.
Artworks are not required to be for sale to be exhibited.
Release of Liability: By submitting your entry(s), you release Dublin Area Art League and Dublin Recreation Center from responsibility for damage or theft to any work submitted to the 2025 Irish Show.
DAAL will retain the submitted images of accepted artwork and reserves the right to use the images in publications, gallery publicity, grant reports and future DAAL marketing. Beyond such use, the artist retains full copyright of the exhibited work.
