Ross Ekstrom scholarship
The Dublin Area Art League provides scholarships to deserving young artists from a grant from the Dublin Arts Council.
Three $1000 scholarships are available each year for Dublin High School seniors pursuing higher education in the visual arts or media related fields.
Eligibility and application requirements:
- Applicant must be a Dublin High School senior.
- Student must be enrolling in a college with the intention of majoring in a visual arts or media curriculum.
- Student must have a letter of support or recommendation from an art or media faculty member.
- Demonstrate financial need: share costs to pursue goals.
- Resume with employment history, community service, awards.
- Current transcripts.
- Personal statement. An artist statement that provides insight into your artistic journey, influences, themes, and motivations. Express your passion for art and your commitment to pursuing a career in the field.
- Send your best examples of your artworks/media. Include title and medium. This can be sent via email or with your digital application from your Guidance Department.
Winners will be contacted in March, and will be invited to the DAAL Spring Show reception in April.
$1000 scholarship paid directly to educational institution by July 1.
