CALL FOR DAAL MEMBERS
OHIO STATE FAIR GIFT SHOP
Event chairs: Donna Gleditsch and Robie Benve.
DAAL members have been invited to take over the Ohio State Fair Gift Shop on July 31 – August 3, 2025.
FREE to members. DAAL will take care of the rental fee.
The Gift Shop is located in the Cox Fine Art Building.
Each artist who participates will be asked to volunteer in some way to help run the store and make the event happen. DAAL will retain a 5% transaction fee on all sales.

What to Submit
2D and 3D items are accepted. Artworks, accessories, jewelry, hand-made things, apparel, etc.
Keep in mind that it’s a gift shop in an environment where buyers will have to walk around holding their purchase. Smaller items do better.
Some ideas of things that may sell well:
- Small and medium artworks
- Cards, prints, and reproductions.
- Fiber art: scarves, t-shirts
- Jewelry
- Ornaments
- Small sculptures
- Ceramics
- Bags and purses
- Magnets, and more.
To apply, please fill out the form below and leave specifics about the type of art product you’d like to sell.
Every applicant will be accepted. Event chairs will select the items and quantities to bring in the effort of curating the assortment of items in the shop.
Each member is welcome to submit multiple types of items; please list them in the form below. Send sample photos of your items to Robie Benve.
Display. We’ll have walls, shelves, two card holders, a vertical rack, and a couple of print holders. If your items require special display support, such as hangers, racks, cases, etc., you must also provide those. Every single item will need to be priced.
DEADLINE TO APPLY IS JULY 12, 2025
After submission, you will receive an email with more details, including a time to drop off your items. The drop-off will be at Donna Gleditsch house in Dublin.
Every participant is required to help.
