The Dublin Area Art League is looking for a new visual identity and we need your help!
Artists are asked to create a professional logo design that represents the Dublin Area Art League (DAAL), a non-profit organization whose mission is to support and encourage its artist members, educate through various programming, and provide opportunities for exhibition in the community.
Currently the logo is not inclusive of non-traditional as well as traditional forms of art.
Logo Requirements:
• Professional: Be able to be shown in a variety of different formats- from webpages, to signs, to products, etc. Must be easily reproducible and scalable for large and small formatting.
• Color: There are no limitations on color. Must look good in color or black and white, it does not need to be green.
• Theme: Must say Dublin Area Art League or DAAL. Must have a broad appeal and be inviting to the public. It should not be limited to any one specific art medium. The logo should visually represent the mission of the DAAL. To support and encourage artist members through interaction, educate our members and provide opportunity for presentation of local art to the community.
• Integrity: Logos cannot contain copyrighted material. They must have been created and edited by the contestant. Logos may not include images or licensed images that have been previously published.
How to enter:
Email Dawn Petrill at dublinartleague@gmail.com with your name and phone number by Saturday, August 1, 2020 at midnight. Include your logo in a vector file, such as EPS. If submitting multiple submissions, you may wish to send them in separate emails if the file size is more than 10mb.
Contest Details:
Multiple entries are welcome. A committee of DAAL members will select the top 10 entries, which will then be put to a public vote by our members and followers. The winner will be announced on our website, newsletter and social media sites the week of August 10th. (Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter.)
By participating in the contest, participants agree that DAAL may publish their logo and may use it for future advertising/marketing materials. Contestants assign all ownership rights, including all intellectual property rights to the Dublin Area Art League. Additionally, DAAL may alter, modify or revise the logo as necessary to achieve the goals of our organization. DAAL reserves the right to not select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.
