Full Bio: Carolyn has a BFA in Printmaking from Northern Illinois University. She does not know how to paint using only a paintbrush. The images she creates are abstract explorations of composition, textures, and colors. I utilize objects like a palm sander, paint scrapers, and adhesive spreaders to scrape through paint-revealing layers until I am satisfied. The unintentional marks, random bits of color exposed built up by layers of paint, and textures are planned to happen. Carolyn is also a Docent at the Columbus Museum of Art and has been a member of DAAL since 2021.
Art Interest: Acrylic, collage, printmaking and gelli plate.
