Short Bio: As a mixed-media artist, I want to emulate an appreciation for the small details I observe in nature. I use color, texture, and mark-making in an exploratory way. I work in the creative flow, finding inspiration in imperfection.

Full Bio: With a BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design, I started as a graphic designer. After years of working in design firms for various clients, focusing on strategic brand initiatives, I wanted to get back to my roots of creating by hand. I found myself  fascinated by the creative process. In 2014, I started doing process art with artists of all ages, and studying the benefits of art in their everyday life. As a result I opened up my own art studio in 2015. Having my own studio allowed me to create and explore in new ways, and discover ways to share art with the community. Although, I sold the studio in August 2019, I found my self still in love with the process of creating and experimenting. This launched my journey into becoming a mixed-media artist. I’ve recently combined my graphic design and fine art sides by using my artwork to create surface pattern designs. Each pattern I create begins as an original mixed-media painting. I want to bring joy to the everyday through color, nature, and art.

I’m currently a resident artist at High Road Gallery & Studios in Worthington, Ohio.

Art Interest: Mixed Media: Acrylic, Oil Pastels, found papers, inks, watercolors
