Peg Moskowitz

Short Bio: As a young girl, I discovered that I loved and excelled at art. Although my college years at Valparaiso University in Indiana led to inner-city work in Washington D.C. and Chicago, I returned to art in 1978 once my children were born.

Full Bio: In 1984 when I began working at Clark University, I took art courses through their evening division. Over the years I have had art shows at various shops and other locales including the Old Company Store in Wareham, MA; C.C. Lowell’s in Worcester, MA; Booklover’s Gourmet in Webster, MA, the former Acuity Global Arts in Worcester, as well as hosting shows in my home. To date I have sold over 95 paintings. I received an “Honorable Mention” for my watercolor “Purple Flowers” at the 9th Annual Massasoit Art Guild 2012 Art Show and Sale on October 13-14, 2012. The paintings were judged by Charlotte Wharton who is a faculty member of the Worcester Art Museum where she teaches master classes and holds many distinguished awards and medals for excellence in art.
I feel that my work is intuitive and decorative in nature. I take my camera wherever I travel, zeroing in on interesting corners of nature. My watercolors tend to be more impressionistic, while my oils are more expressionistic. I have also painted commissions for patrons, and the subject most requested is a watercolor of their home.

Art Interest: Painting – watercolor and oil
