Artist Bio: Phil Adams
Phil Adams is a self-taught street photographer, who has lived in the south end of Columbus since 1999. He has spent most of his adult life teaching music to persons of all ages (but primarily children), and only rediscovered photography about eight years ago after a lengthy hiatus stretching back to his childhood. He also happens to be a person living with depression, and considers his work in photography to be an integral part of his self-care plan.
Past venues for his work include Roy G Biv, Wild Goose Creative, Blockfort, Gallery 831, The German Village Meeting House (with the German Village Society, Chromedge Studios, 400 W. Rich, the Vanderelli Room, and Fresh A.I.R. Gallery. He is a member of the Ohio Art League.
The Dublin Area Art League (DAAL) is a 501©(3) nonprofit organization that since 1985 supports and encourages its artist members through interaction with fellow artists, educates through workshops, demonstrations and lectures, and provides opportunities for the presenting local art to the community through multiple venues. DAAL is partially supported by the Dublin Arts Council through a Community Arts Grant to encourage community engagement, cultivate creativity and foster life-long learning through the arts.
